Who can use agentmatchmaker

You must be at least the age of majority in your province to use the service. Agent accounts are for licensed real estate professionals, who are responsible for ensuring their use complies with their brokerage rules and applicable regulations.

What agentmatchmaker is

agentmatchmaker is a directory, review, and matchmaking service that helps consumers find a real estate agent who fits their needs. In plain terms: we are not a real estate brokerage, we do not represent you, and using agentmatchmaker does not create an agency, brokerage, or other professional relationship between you and us. We do not provide real estate, legal, tax, or financial advice. Listing or matching an agent is not an endorsement, and we do not guarantee any agent's performance, conduct, or the outcome of any transaction. Any decision to contact or work with an agent is yours.

Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

Agent profiles and obligations

• Provide accurate, current, and non-misleading profile and licensing information.
• Only claim a profile that genuinely belongs to you.
• Keep your conduct consistent with these Terms and our Review Guidelines.
• Do not misrepresent your credentials, results, or affiliations.

Reviews

Reviews must be truthful, reflect a genuine first hand experience, and must not be false or misleading. Reviews are also governed by our Review Guidelines. Fake, incentivized, undisclosed, or manipulated reviews are prohibited and may also violate Canadian advertising and competition laws. Prohibited review conduct may result in the consequences described in the Review Guidelines, including removal of reviews, loss of recognition, suspension, and (for serious or repeated violations) administrative fees or liquidated damages and other remedies, subject to these Terms and applicable law.

Subscriptions and billing

• Paid tiers may affect contact visibility, profile features, and visibility tools. Matching is primarily based on fit signals such as location, specialties, profile information, reviews, and user needs. Paid plans do not automatically guarantee a top match, and badges or recognition cannot simply be purchased.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Changes to pricing or tiers will be communicated in advance where required.

Acceptable use

When using agentmatchmaker, you agree not to:

• Break the law or infringe the rights of others.
• Post false, misleading, defamatory, or harmful content.
• Scrape, harvest, or misuse data, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.

Intellectual property

The agentmatchmaker name, logo, and the content and software we provide are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You retain rights to the content you submit, and you grant us a licence to host, display, and use that content to operate and promote the service.

Third-party services and links

The service relies on third-party providers and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, which are governed by their own terms.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any agent listed will meet your expectations. Information on the service is for general purposes and is not professional, legal, or financial advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, agentmatchmaker is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your dealings with any agent. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold agentmatchmaker harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the service or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service for conduct that violates these Terms or the Review Guidelines, or to protect the service and its users. You may stop using the service at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the courts located there, subject to any consumer protection rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
